What is the diffrence between nervousness and anxiety? i always thought they were the same thing.?

Answer:
Most people experience anxiety (that knot in the stomach over a backlog of bills or just before a job interview) at some point in their lives. Such nervousness in anticipation of a real situation is normal.

But if a person cannot shake unwarranted worries, or the feelings are jarring to the point of avoiding everyday activities, he or she most likely has an anxiety disorder.
nervous is having something to feel that way, such as a oral presentation. Anxiety is feeling nervous for no reason.
It's just about the same only Anxiety is more of a all over "sick" feeling. Nerves can happen in a moment and then be gone, soon after. Anxiety, sneaks up on you and can last for days.
Nervous is walking into class without your homework done. Anxiety is having chest pains, heavy breathing and severe fear. Anxiety is a clinical definition for which many take anxiety medications. Nervousness can be controlled by doing your homework. Or taking out the trash like mom said. Or asking that girl out instead of looking at her til she is married with 3 kids.
Anxiety is usually a severe nervousness, like on a scale of 1-10, nervousness would be at the low end, like maybe a 1 or 2, while anxiety would be in the middle (5 or 6-ish range), and then panic is generally considered to be the high end of the scale, like 8+.
